Rahul Gandhi Leads Sit-In as Opposition Targets Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
Various Indian opposition party leaders, including Rahul Gandhi who is the Lok Sabha leader of the opposition, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, were briefly held by the Delhi Police following a sit-in protest outside the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi located at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The sit-in was organized in an attempt to force accountability and the resignation of the education minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the police crackdown on the students’ protests against the leakage of examination papers under the youth group known as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
